DJ at KALX Berkeley, 90.7 FM, http://kalx.berkeley.edu
KALX is UC Berkeley and Listener Supported Freeform Radio broadcasting with 500 watts of electro eclectic pulses that penetrate the forcefields of your brain.
The terrestrial broadcast range of KALX covers most of the San Francisco Bay Area, from as far south as Fremont and Redwood City, to San Rafael and Petaluma in the north, and Oakland, Berkeley, and parts of San Francisco (damn, those hills) in-between. You are also out of luck snagging signal while driving past Albany Hill while merging on highway I-80 and I-580. KALX broadcasts terrestrial radio silence past the Berkeley Hills and both bores of the Caldicott Tunnel to the east and insinuates a dull radio numbness into the wide asleep ears of the townships of Lafayette, Orinda and Moraga, the pastures of Pleasant Hill, and the prominent commercial and residential communities of Walnut Creek and Concord. Of course, everyone can just stream the dang signal from the app or the website, if they knew it existed. So just do that.
